Live Paradox

A journeyman’s ramblings: He is no everyman, but one who turns a carefully focused eye on the events of the madcap world around him. He aims to point out what others miss and draw attention to the patterns that exist amongst the chaos.

10:36 PM - Week in Review - Redux

Okay. It’s notebook dump time. You know the drill. I belatedly transfer the scribblings I wrote earlier, put them online, and backdate them “pretending” that I actually posted them in a timely manner. I usually do this on Mondays but I got distracted and caught up in other scribblings so I’m putting it out today.

Here’s the rundown…

Thursday has a post about another one of my vehicular near death experiences.

Friday features the rationale for my recent foray into LiveJournal.

Saturday explains how I got involved in the 20th Annual English Faire sponsored by Daughters of the British Empire and what went on there.

Sunday spotlights my Christmas wish list for those who wish to know what I’d like to appear under the tree in the seasons to come.

Monday, well, you’ve probably seen that. If you are going to respond to that, I’d ask that you not be simply posting an ad for your corporate site (I don’t mind personal plugs, but please don’t mindlessly post a link that has no earthly connection to what’s being talked about. Somebody out there should be thankful I have solid morals and lack the hacking skills that otherwise keep me from going all “V for Vendetta” on the flawed repressive heads.

Later in this week we should have posts on media/military relations, Christianity in Hollywood, and Japanese lyrical poetry.

Anyway, it looks like I’ll still be in the Kansas City area through Friday, at the least. Drop me a line if you’re in the area or e-mail me at the usual connections.
