WAG - First, let me explain…

Aliens abducted me.

My dog ate my homework.

I was still morning the passage of "Friends."

Something came up.

My evil twin kidnapped me and tried to kill me, again.

I was in a coma.

My parents were late in wiring bail money.

The Men in Black reneged on their initial offer after beginning to erase my existence.

Voluntary overtime became mandatory.

I overslept… two weeks.

There was car trouble and my Triple-A card recently expired.

Jury duty. ‘Nuff said.

A wrong turn was made at Albuquerque.

My computer crashed.

I went out to find myself and got lot.

Okay. Only the last two apply. Let me briefly recount the true story behind the two-week gap in updates.

I got in a pinch studying for finals and pulling together my last few projects and knew my time could be better spent focusing on my scholastic requirements (or more accurately, as a procrastinator, I knew I could benefit from removing one more distraction from my daily duties).

And then… I reveled in the lack of structure I was afforded for a few days… until closing swallowed up the rest of my semester.

Then, after I had checked my final resident out of their room and taken down my last bulletin board, I was scrambling to pack up my stuff and move things into interim housing where I will spend most of my summer “vacation.”

It is my fortune, however, to spend one week in Sullivan, Missouri before returning my nose to it’s position on the grindstone. It’s a brief break, and I know I’ll only blink and be back to work at the Missourian, but it is appreciated.

I’ll work to keep updates coming a bit more frequently. I shouldn’t have any of the previously listed excuses to pop up again (excepting the computer one).

My apologies to go out to the people who still looked to this site and went away disappointed. To those of you who looked to this un-updated site and were pleased… well… I can’t tell you what I think of you because the previously mentioned group largely consists of my grandmothers. Still, I can think it very strongly. That should teach you a lesson.

WAG - Decision Time Coming Soon

Okay, do I want:

A) An extra hour and five minutes to work on my paper that's due today, four more hours to work on my revision due Friday, one test this week, and three finals next week (two on Monday and one one Friday.)

OR...

B) One less hour to work on my paper will be due at 3:55 p.m. instead of 5:00 p.m., less time to concentrate on my English revision due by Friday at 5 p.m., two tests this week (one on Stop Day), and two finals on Monday.

I only have about four hours to decide.

No pressure.

I'm leaning toward B, but I'm still not sure.

Hmmm...

Choose B, or not choose B.

WAG - Dispatches from the right brain:

Circumventing common sense and spel chek

Hello. This is the right, creative, and down right tubular side of the brain giving you a quick update on what's going on in here.

The short answer: not much.

The longer answer: not much, though there should be a lot.

It's harder for me to explain, since I'm the side that likes to use creative metaphors and dreamy imagery that doesn't necessarily depend on fact, rhyme, and reason...

Fact is, Caleb is more looking forward to finals week because he will have less things to worry about. His schedule got looped around today meaning he should only have finals on one day next week: Monday.

Of course, the perfect-est schedule ever is a bit wasted due to the fact he is student staff and may stick around for an additional week after that.

If he can make it through the multitude of tests, articles, revisions, and a seven-minute speech, he is nearly scott free (not that we know which Scott it is).

I need to go. Lefty will soon realize I haven't been prewritting and will soon descend upon me with a load of sharply crafted insults and cutting insight.

Not that I care, but it makes it harder to play FreeCell.

Fare thee well, and may that cost not be too deep.
